The economic system founded on isolation is a circular production of isolation. The technology is based on isolation, and the technical process isolates in turn. From the automobile to television, all the goods selected by the spectacular system are also its weapons for a constant reinforcement of the conditions of isolation of “lonely crowds.” The spectacle constantly rediscovers its own assumptions more concretely.
At that I turned, and saw before my feet
a lake of ice, which in the terrible cold
looked not like frozen water, but like glass
So thick an ice veil never blocks the course
of the Danube in wintry Austria,
nor of the Don under the frigid sky,
As was this ice; and if Mount Tambernic
had fallen on it, or Mount Pietrapan,
even its edge would not have made a creak.
As the frog in the summer sits to croak,
his mug above the pond, while hazy dreams
of gleaning come upon the peasant girl,
So were the grieving spirits, livid grey,
fixed in the ice up to where shame appears,
chattering their teeth like storks that snap their bills.

This is the first heavy album I ever listened to (before this I was a hip hop head) and it blew my mind to the point that I named my band after the opening track. You have to listen to this! Burst Synapse
Unbelievablely minimal death metal, but it also feels like there's so much to uncover. Incredible that they can do this with only one guitar and one drum kit. Burst Synapse
Shoegaze overdosing on meth and caffeine pills. Every release on Cloudrat's discography is a different flavor of insanity. This one is rocky road with a twist of antifreeze. Ghuughra
